05 | Tracing Our Ancestors

As a result of studying the records, and additional information that Georg had, we found that our roots went back to the villages of Eselsdorf and Grub, 20 miles or so west and south of Nurenburg, and only a few miles from the Rasch church. We had traced our ancestors back to 1560, and had connected them to Wolfgang!

As the chart shows, we found that Stephen Ohdorfer , my great, great, great, great, great great grandfather was born in Grub in 1636!

Stephen’s father was Johannes Ohdorfer (b. 1592), and his mother’s name was Kunighunda. They had lived nearby in Eslesdorf, and had moved to Grub before Stephen was born. Johannes’ father was Heinrich Ohdorfer (b 1560), and his mother’s name was Anna.  See Descendant Chart 1
